With the TAD 6V6GT-STR REDBASE, we've managed to combine the tonal characteristics of a NOS 6V6GT, such as those from RCA or GE, with the current requirements. This high-performance 6V6GT tube is capable of handling higher anode voltages than standard 6V6GT tubes.

The TAD 6V6GT-STR REDBASE stands out for its typical NOS "high-frequency sweetness" and, at the same time, a surprisingly dense and complex midrange. In particular, thanks to this midrange characteristic, it achieves a tonal liveliness that only NOS 6V6GTs can offer and that, otherwise, remains unmatched. Even when pushing it to saturation, the harshness of the upper midrange, a common problem with other 6V6 tubes, is not noticeable. A sweet, full-bodied sound with silky highs.

We recommend the TAD 6V6GT-STR REDBASE for all 6V6 tube power amplifiers when you want a full, yet freely definable sound. It's the ideal tube for Fender Deluxe Tweed 5E3 or Blackface Princeton Reverb amplifiers, as well as single-ended Class A amplifiers like the Fender Tweed Champ, Vibro Champ, Fender Champion 600, or Univalve.
